Did Chuck Norris Teach Bruce Lee his high Kicks as he said in interviews: I think not...

DID CHUCK NORRIS TEACH BRUCE LEE HIGH KICKS?

Some time ago, i posted a video saying that Chuck Norris did not respect Bruce Lee.
For some reason it was not taken the right way, so let me attempt to add some
clarity to it. Let me first began by saying again, that it is not my intent to ever
discredit nor even attempt to discredit anyone either in entertainment in general, or
in the martial arts community.

I simply offer my viewpoint (like anyone else) on various subjects, that i
know about personally and that i have also studied. It is just that simple.

As a matter of fact, i have a great deal of respect for what Chuck Norris has
accomplished both with his martial arts schools, and also with his successes
in the film industry.

Now to bring it home, what i said was that Chuck Norris did not respect Bruce Lee,
meaning that he always avoided direct questions about whether he and Bruce ever
fought, who was better, could Bruce beat him etc. and he would always insert
the fact that he was World champion at the time, Bruce and i trained together and
Bruce only kicked below the waste because of his Wing Chun, and that he encouraged
Bruce Lee to start kicking high.

This could be no further from the truth. Please understand that i know in Hong Kong
as well as Asian cinema, high kicks are more crowd pleasing, but we must remember
who Bruce Lee was. He was headstrong, an innovator, a pioneer and creator who
coined the phrase Classical Mess as it relates to his evolution of martial arts.

He amassed over two thousand books on virtually every martial arts known to
man and he absorbed himself into his craft, So his Wing Chun was not the same
Wing Chun of his late instructor Yip Man, it instead was what became parts
of his synthesis of development, so yes he did use high kicks. Not just on film
but as he felt it necessary for himself.

With all due respect to Chuck Norris, he said that he was basically responsible for
Bruce Lee kicking high, but Lee has a body of film work, both in screen and
on television that refutes this claim. Yes, Lee was kicking high way before he
ever met Chuck Norris and there are video clips to prove it. Please start with
the first one of Norris, being interviewed by Arsenio Hall in 1991. He stated that
Bruce Lee, at the time he knew him, didn't believe in kicking above the waist,
and i do not believe this at all.
Please leave your comments,  i appreciate your watching and please follow...
